Botas de Seguridad

Certified safety footwear for men — steel toe and composite toe boots and shoes built for job sites that require protection in writing. RockRooster and ProCliff, from $99.

WHAT THE CERTIFICATIONS MEAN

  • ASTM F2413-18 I/75 C/75: the toe withstands a 75-pound impact and 2,500 pounds of compression. This is the standard most sites ask for.
  • EH rated: electrical hazard protection up to 18,000V. If you work around electricity, this is not optional.
  • SD / antistatic (EN 61340): static dissipation for cleanrooms and dust-sensitive workspaces.
  • Puncture resistant: a Kevlar plate between the sole and your foot, for sites with nails and debris.

STEEL TOE OR COMPOSITE TOE?

Steel is stronger and cheaper. Composite is lighter, doesn't set off metal detectors, and doesn't transfer cold or electricity — worth it if you work outdoors in winter or around current.
